On July 26, 2025, protests erupted across several European cities including Dublin, Stockholm, London, The Hague, and Prague, targeting Egypt's role in the closure of the Rafah border crossing. Activists demonstrated against the blockade and resulting food crisis in Gaza, which has led to famine and deaths. In Stockholm, a protester notably shut down the Egyptian embassy in protest of the Rafah crossing closure. Demonstrators in London not only gathered outside the Egyptian ambassador's residence but also rallied in front of the British Prime Minister's residence, banging pots and pans and blocking roads in Whitehall to highlight Gaza's food crisis. Protesters carried symbolic food boxes labeled "GHF is a killing field" and placards demanding an end to the starvation of Gaza and the liberation of Palestine. Similar demonstrations occurred outside Egyptian diplomatic missions in The Hague and Prague, emphasizing opposition to the blockade and the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
