Spain’s industrial sector gained momentum in June, with output rising 1.0% from May and outpacing economists’ expectations for a 0.1% decline. Year-on-year, seasonally adjusted production increased 2.3%, improving from May’s 1.7% growth. On a non-seasonally adjusted basis, output expanded 4.9% after contracting 0.8% a month earlier, pointing to a broader rebound across manufacturing categories. Housing demand showed a slower but still solid expansion. Home sales were 17.9% higher than a year earlier, easing from May’s 39.7% surge, suggesting the property market is cooling from the sharp post-pandemic recovery while remaining above pre-crisis levels.
