Spain’s PP Leader Feijóo Calls for Immediate Deportation of Criminal Irregular Migrants

Alberto Núñez Feijóo, president of Spain’s opposition Popular Party, said on Wednesday that any irregular immigrant who commits a crime "has to be deported immediately." Speaking at the summer courses of Universidad CEU San Pablo in San Lorenzo de El Escorial, the conservative leader asserted that irregular status "cannot produce rights" and urged a clear distinction between lawful migrants who integrate and those who enter the country without authorization. Feijóo’s remarks follow recent disturbances in Torre Pacheco, Murcia, which have rekindled debate over migration policy. While condemning hate speech, he called for stronger enforcement of immigration and criminal laws, additional resources for security forces, and clearer penalties for repeat offenders, arguing that Spain must deliver a "forceful" response to what he described as uncontrolled irregular migration.
