Solace, an AI companion developed by a UC Berkeley team and winner of the Virtuals Hackathon, has made a notable entry into the AI space with its voice-native, emotionally intelligent design aimed at providing real-time psychological support. The project recently completed a Genesis Token Generation Event (TGE) that was oversubscribed by more than 2,500%, attracting over 12,000 participants. Solace is now live on the Virtuals Protocol and is recognized as the first AI companion of its kind to offer voice-driven mental health assistance. This launch follows a trend of strong interest in AI agents, as seen with other projects like Mirai, which raised 78,000 SOL in a presale on the Holoworld AI launchpad. Solace’s upcoming minimum viable product (MVP) will feature four core capabilities focused on emotional intelligence and voice interaction, marking a significant development in AI companion technology.
