Amazon is developing an AI code generation tool called Kiro, which uses AI agents to generate code in near real-time. Kiro features a multi-modal interface that accepts text and visual diagram inputs. Amazon's previous effort, Q, was less successful, and Kiro is viewed as a new attempt to attract developers to Amazon's ecosystem.
Amazon is building its own Cursor/Windsurf code-named "Kiro". Amazon sees it as an opportunity to lure developers away from OpenAI and Microsoft, as its previous attempt, named "Q" fell flat. It's an ongoing attempt by big tech to lock users into their future agent eco-systems. https://t.co/md4Kk3xor9
