Israel carried out a series of airstrikes on 16 July against Syrian Arab Army positions in the coastal Latakia Governorate, according to Syrian media and Al Jazeera. The raids targeted the headquarters of the 107th Brigade near the city of Jableh and the 132nd Brigade in the village of Bzamil, part of the Latakia countryside. Syrian outlets did not immediately report casualties or material damage, and Israel has not issued a statement on the operation. The strikes are the latest in a long-running Israeli campaign aimed at limiting the military capabilities of Syrian government forces and allied Iran-backed groups operating in the country.
