Syria’s Interior Ministry said it has arrested more than 50 wanted individuals during a large-scale security sweep in and around the eastern city of Al-Bukamal, near the border with Iraq. The ministry added that several of those detained are suspected of having links to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Authorities provided no further details on the identities of the suspects or the charges they may face.
