The Syrian Ministry of Information and Kuwait's Al-Maha International Company have signed a memorandum of understanding to establish the "Damascus Gate" Media and Arts Production City in Damascus. The agreement was signed under the patronage of Syrian President Ahmad Al-Sharaa and attended by Minister of Information Hamzah Al-Mustafa. The project, valued at approximately $1.5 billion, will be built on nearly 2 million square meters within Damascus. It will feature outdoor studios inspired by traditional Arab and Islamic architecture, as well as indoor studios. The initiative aims to boost media and artistic production capabilities in Syria, with full facilitation and support reported by the project's general manager, Mohammed Sami Al-Anzi. The project is seen as a strategic investment to enhance Syria's media infrastructure and cultural output, with further cooperation anticipated between Syrian and French universities.
