It has pledged to investigate all related incidents thoroughly and hold accountable all individuals proven to be involved, regardless of their positions or affiliations. Syrian interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa emphasized the commitment to justice following deadly clashes in the Druze-majority city of Suwayda, stating that local authorities would assume security responsibilities. The Syrian government has called for immediate legal action against violators. Additionally, a joint statement from ten Arab countries and Turkey welcomed the Syrian President's commitment to accountability and expressed support for efforts to restore security, uphold state sovereignty and the rule of law in Suwayda and across Syria, while condemning violence and sectarianism. These countries also urged the UN Security Council to halt Israeli hostilities against Syria and reaffirmed Syria's security and stability as vital to regional peace.
