A video released by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) has emerged showing members of Syria's Defense and Interior Ministries executing medical staff at Suwayda National Hospital in southern Syria. The footage, dated July 17, depicts armed government forces detaining hospital staff dressed in uniforms, with one man resisting and subsequently being shot point-blank. The victims are reportedly from the Druze community. The Syrian government has condemned the killing and opened an investigation into the incident. The video has sparked outrage and renewed attention to alleged war crimes committed by Islamist-aligned regime forces in the predominantly Druze province. Separately, an explosion at an arms depot in Idlib province, northern Syria, resulted in at least four deaths and five injuries. The blast, reportedly following a drone sighting, caused casualties among civilians and prompted an urgent investigation by Syrian authorities. This explosion is the second recent arms depot blast in the region, with the Syrian Ministry of Health confirming the casualties.
