Apple’s next-generation iPad Pro will feature two front-facing cameras and the company’s new M5 processor, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports. The additional sensor will be positioned on the portrait edge of the tablet, complementing the landscape camera Apple introduced with the M4 iPad Pro in May 2024 and marking the first dual-camera setup on an iPad. The change is aimed at improving FaceTime, selfies and Face ID regardless of orientation, addressing user complaints that arose after last year’s relocation of the single camera to the long edge. Aside from the dual-camera system, the 2025 model is expected to gain marginally thinner bezels and the faster, more efficient 3-nanometer M5 chip. People familiar with Apple’s plans say the updated iPad Pro is on track for a fall 2025 debut, consistent with the company’s roughly 18-month refresh cycle for its flagship tablet line.
