A Pomeranian named Buddy is being credited with saving a Kyiv family during what Ukrainian officials described as the largest Russian drone attack of the war. Ten-year-old Mykola Vorozhko said the dog woke him, his mother Oleksandra and sister Kira in the early hours of 4 July and tugged them toward a shelter moments before explosions rocked their neighborhood. Local authorities said the overnight barrage damaged roughly 40 apartment blocks, several schools, railway passenger infrastructure and dozens of vehicles across six of the capital’s ten districts. No fatalities were reported in the Vorozhko household, which the family attributes to Buddy’s warning.
