The Powerball jackpot has risen to an estimated $750 million for the drawing scheduled Monday night, placing it as the 10th-largest prize in the game’s history, according to the Multi-State Lottery Association. The lump-sum cash option stands at about $338.6 million before taxes. The increase follows Saturday’s drawing for an estimated $700 million pool, which produced no jackpot winner. The winning numbers—11, 14, 34, 47, 51 and red Powerball 18—did generate several major secondary prizes: tickets sold in Maine and Massachusetts matched all five white balls to claim $1 million each, while a South Dakota ticket that included the $1 Power Play doubled its payout to $2 million. Monday’s contest will be the 37th consecutive drawing without a grand-prize winner since a $204.5 million ticket was sold in California on May 31. The long run of rollovers has pushed the pot well past every other lottery prize awarded so far this year. Powerball tickets cost $2 and are available in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. Eastern time, with jackpot odds at roughly 1 in 292.2 million.
