The U.S. Air Force is conducting tests involving two Tesla Cybertrucks as live-fire missile targets to assess their durability in combat scenarios. This evaluation aims to verify claims about the Cybertruck's resilience, often described as 'apocalypse-proof.' According to official filings, the Air Force anticipates that adversaries may increasingly adopt vehicles similar to the Tesla Cybertruck, which are believed to offer enhanced resistance to certain types of damage. In addition to the Cybertrucks, the Air Force is seeking a total of 33 vehicles, including sedans and bongo trucks, for live missile fire testing in New Mexico. These tests are part of an effort to simulate real-world combat threats and better understand the survivability of various vehicle types under missile attack conditions.
