The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has announced multiple lane closures on State Route 99 (SR 99) at the 1st Avenue South Bridge (milepost 26) due to boat traffic, occurring at various times between June 20 and July 5, 2025. Additionally, nighttime closures on SR 99 northbound and southbound lanes will begin on July 7 to facilitate construction crews installing falsework. WSDOT is also advancing the SR 509 Completion Project, which involves transforming the interchange at South 188th Street in SeaTac, requiring changes to access points starting July 7. Other regional infrastructure updates include a ramp closure expected to last through July 31 for reconstruction, lane restrictions and nightly ramp closures on I-215 through July 11, and planned ramp closures at the I-69 interchange in Mortons Gap. The southbound I-27 on-ramp bridge will be closed for two weeks starting July 9 for repairs. Additional closures include the SR 529 northbound and southbound lanes at the Snohomish River Bridge (milepost 5) on July 7 due to boat traffic. Furthermore, I-15 will experience road work closures during two major weekends in July within the resort corridor. WSDOT has indicated that these projects will impact traffic flow and advises travelers to plan accordingly.
