President Donald Trump declined to take a question from CNN’s chief White House correspondent, Kaitlan Collins, during an open portion of a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday. When Collins attempted to speak, Trump twice replied, “Not for CNN,” before recognizing other reporters. Collins was later able to ask about last week’s temporary pause in U.S. defensive-weapons shipments to Ukraine. Trump answered, “I don’t know, why don’t you tell me?” and did not elaborate on who ordered the halt. The administration has yet to provide a formal explanation for the interruption, which drew bipartisan concern on Capitol Hill. During the session, the president also said he and First Lady Melania Trump will travel to Texas on Friday to survey damage from recent flash floods. No further details of the trip were disclosed.
