U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro said Tuesday she is investigating allegations that Representative Adam Schiff leaked classified information during the Trump-Russia inquiry. Pirro, a former judge, told reporters the case is “right in my wheelhouse” and pledged that “when I have enough evidence to go forward, you will hear from me loud and clear.” Pirro’s comments follow the release of newly declassified FBI Form 302 interview summaries in which a whistleblower claims Schiff approved the disclosure of sensitive material to the media. While indicating she is actively reviewing the documents, Pirro emphasized that she does not discuss open investigations and will only speak once she is ready to act. At the same briefing, the prosecutor highlighted a series of recent homicides in Washington, displaying photos of teenage victims and vowing a tougher stance on violent crime. “Anyone who wants to tell me crime is down should talk to these families,” she said, promising to “make a difference” by bringing offenders to justice.
