A senior U.S. Navy official has issued a warning regarding the Venezuelan military, describing Venezuela as "not a stable nation." Lieutenant General Leonard F. Anderson, commander of the U.S. Marine Corps Forces South, commented on the absence of the Venezuelan Armed Forces from the Conference of Naval Leaders of the Americas, implying concerns about the country's stability. Additionally, the U.S. government has renewed its travel advisories, including Venezuela and another unspecified American country on its list of nations for which it advises against travel. Separately, Mexico has joined several other countries such as France, Canada, New Zealand, the UAE, and Australia in issuing travel warnings about the United Kingdom, citing increased crime rates in London. The U.S. has also issued a travel alert covering the UK and more than three dozen other countries.
