Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will introduce a 32-player, extraction-style finale that turns the campaign’s last mission into a high-stakes multiplayer contest, according to a report first published by Insider Gaming and corroborated by multiple specialist outlets. The mission, set on the full Avalon map, eliminates traditional checkpoints; squads that are wiped lose all accumulated gear and progress. The same report says Black Ops 7 will feature unified progression, allowing players to earn experience points, weapon levels and Battle Pass rewards interchangeably across campaign, competitive multiplayer and Zombies modes. The approach marks the most extensive blending of single-player and multiplayer systems in the 21-year-old franchise. Treyarch and Raven Software are co-developing the title for publisher Activision. A fuller reveal is expected during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live presentation on Aug. 19, ahead of the game’s launch on Microsoft’s Game Pass and standard retail channels later this year.
