Sony Interactive Entertainment has formally named its first in-house fight stick “FlexStrike” and outlined key specifications ahead of a planned 2026 launch. The arcade-style controller connects to PlayStation 5 or PC either over USB-C or wirelessly via the company’s low-latency PlayStation Link technology. Users can pair two FlexStrike units, or a FlexStrike alongside Pulse Elite headsets, through a single USB adapter. Designed for competitive players, the FlexStrike features mechanical-switch buttons, a custom digital joystick with toolless swappable square, circle and octagon restrictor gates, and a lever-mode toggle that can mimic D-pad or thumb-stick inputs. The unit includes onboard storage for accessories, a non-slip base, a rechargeable battery and full DualSense-equivalent inputs, including the touchpad; pricing has not been announced. Sony will show a pre-production version of the controller during Evo 2025 in Las Vegas from Aug. 1–3, where it will be displayed alongside upcoming fighting titles such as Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls. The company did not indicate whether the design or feature set might change before release but said further details will follow closer to market launch.
