PlayStation hosted a State of Play broadcast on July 10, 2025, featuring a nearly 20-minute gameplay deep dive into Ghost of Yōtei, the sequel to Ghost of Tsushima developed by Sucker Punch. The presentation was led by Sucker Punch’s Creative Directors, Jason Connell and Nate Fox, and showcased new gameplay mechanics exclusive to the PS5. Alongside the gameplay reveal, Sony announced two limited edition PlayStation 5 bundles themed around Ghost of Yōtei. These bundles include intricately designed PS5 consoles and DualSense controllers inspired by traditional Japanese art forms: one in white and gold reflecting the kintsugi technique, and the other in white and black inspired by Sumi-e painting. The limited edition consoles and accessories are set for release on October 2, 2025, with preorder details to be announced later. The event was streamed live on PlayStation’s Twitch and YouTube channels and highlighted the game's focus on the protagonist Atsu's journey for revenge.
