Sony Interactive Entertainment announced a dedicated PlayStation State of Play broadcast focused on Ghost of Yōtei, the sequel to Ghost of Tsushima, scheduled for July 10, 2025. The event featured a nearly 20-minute gameplay deep dive presented by Sucker Punch's creative directors Jason Connell and Nate Fox, providing an in-depth look at the game's mechanics and story centered on the protagonist Atsu's quest for revenge. Alongside the gameplay reveal, Sony unveiled two limited edition PlayStation 5 Slim bundles inspired by traditional Japanese art: one featuring a white and gold kintsugi design, and the other a white and black sumi-e design. These limited edition consoles, controllers, and console covers are set for release on October 2, 2025, in limited quantities, with preorder details to be announced later. Ghost of Yōtei is confirmed as a PlayStation 5 exclusive and continues the narrative and aesthetic themes of its predecessor.
