Samsung Electronics today introduced the Galaxy Buds 3 FE, a lower-priced “Fan Edition” wireless earbud that brings the design and several headline features of last year’s Galaxy Buds 3 line to a wider audience. The buds adopt the company’s new blade-style stem, resemble Apple’s AirPods Pro form factor, and will go on sale Sept. 4 for $149.99 in black or gray. The single-driver earbuds add upgraded active noise cancellation, dust- and splash-resistant IP54 certification and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity. Battery life is rated at up to six hours with noise cancelling activated (8.5 hours with it off), while the USB-C charging case extends total listening time to as much as 30 hours. Touch-sensitive controls on the stem support pinch and swipe gestures for playback and volume. Samsung is leaning on software to differentiate the model: Gemini voice-assistant support allows hands-free commands, and Galaxy AI features such as Live Translate can interpret phone calls in real time. The company positions the Buds 3 FE as an entry point to its audio ecosystem, pricing them $100 below the two-driver Galaxy Buds 3 Pro while retaining spatial audio, Crystal Clear Call voice isolation and automatic device switching across Galaxy hardware.
While they look very similar to the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, the new $150 Galaxy Buds 3 FE leave off a few features and don't have the same drivers. https://t.co/9G6Z0fmr0W
