Argentine actress Eugenia “China” Suárez publicly criticized her former partner, Chilean actor Benjamín Vicuña, after he revoked a previously granted permit that would have allowed their children, Magnolia and Amancio, to accompany her on a trip to Turkey to visit her current partner, footballer Mauro Icardi. In a series of Instagram posts on 7 July titled “El papá del año,” Suárez accused Vicuña of infidelity during her pregnancy, emotional neglect, substance abuse and insufficient financial and parental involvement. She said she had remained silent to protect the children but decided to speak out after the last-minute cancellation, which came two days before the planned departure. Vicuña, speaking to Argentine media, defended the decision, saying the children have the right to maintain their school routine and daily life in Buenos Aires. He did not directly address the allegations of addiction or infidelity. The pair separated in 2021 and share legal custody of the two children. No court filings had been announced as of late Monday, but both parties signaled they may seek further legal remedies, suggesting the dispute could extend beyond social media.
