La Libertad Avanza (LLA), led by President Javier Milei, and the PRO party, headed by Mauricio Macri, have formalized an electoral alliance in the City of Buenos Aires ahead of the legislative elections scheduled for October 26, 2025. This coalition aims to jointly compete in the capital and support Milei's reform agenda in Congress through 2027. Karina Milei, president of LLA and secretary general of the Presidency, played a key role in securing the agreement and expressed gratitude to the PRO leadership. Meanwhile, in Buenos Aires Province, Milei launched his campaign in La Matanza with eight candidates, including Karina Milei and Patricia Bullrich, targeting the September 7 elections. The Peronist party has unified its discourse against Milei and LLA, while the PRO faces internal challenges and has accepted a subordinate role within the alliance. Additionally, in Entre Ríos, former minister Rogelio Frigerio confirmed an agreement with LLA to prevent the return of Kirchnerism. The Peronist party will run united in 18 provinces but divided in six, as the electoral map for October begins to take shape. Karina Milei is also finalizing which PRO candidates will join the joint lists in Buenos Aires City. The alliance between LLA and PRO reflects shifting political dynamics ahead of the midterm legislative elections in Argentina.
