Powerball officials drew the winning numbers—11, 14, 34, 47 and 51, with red Powerball 18—on Saturday night for a jackpot estimated at $700 million, the largest U.S. lottery prize so far in 2025. A winner, if any ticket matches all six numbers, can choose the full amount paid in 29 annual installments or a one-time cash payment of about $316.3 million before taxes. The pot had rolled over 36 consecutive times since a $204.5 million ticket was claimed in California on May 31, lifting nationwide ticket sales roughly 40% above the same point last year, according to the Multi-State Lottery Association. Powerball is offered in 45 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, with drawings held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. Smaller wins also surfaced ahead of the weekend drawing. Arizona Lottery officials said a $1.47 million Triple Twist ticket was sold at a Walmart in Green Valley, while the Florida Lottery reported that a Publix in South Florida issued a ticket worth about $101,000. Neither prize is connected to Powerball, but both underscore heightened interest in state games amid the record national jackpot.
