Tesla Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk said on 23 July that he is drafting a new “Master Plan” outlining what he described as a fundamental transformation of the electric-vehicle maker. Musk told listeners that the company would move “from a pre-autonomy world to a post-autonomy” era over the next several years. Musk did not give a publication date or detailed targets for the roadmap, but said the forthcoming plan would explain how Tesla intends to deploy self-driving technology at scale and “profoundly change the world.” The document would follow the company’s three earlier master plans, issued in 2006, 2016 and 2023, which introduced strategies such as mass-market EVs, energy storage products and robotaxi services.
