She was identified as a key operative for the Comando Vermelho criminal organization, responsible for coordinating activities and communications between faction leaders across different Brazilian states. Despite presenting herself as a mother, friend, and businesswoman who owned a beauty salon, she led a life of luxury funded in part by a R$2 million insurance payout following her husband's alleged death. The arrest was part of a broader law enforcement effort targeting the Comando Vermelho, which included the discovery of a clandestine cemetery used by the faction in Rio de Janeiro's West Zone and the rescue of 17 foreign individuals found living in conditions akin to slavery at an illegal cigarette factory in Duque de Caxias. Additionally, police detained a faction member involved in extorting residents in the Quitungo community of Rio's North Zone. These coordinated actions highlight ongoing operations by the Civil Police's Special Resources Coordination and other agencies to dismantle criminal networks linked to the Comando Vermelho.
