Authorities in Mexico City have arrested two alleged hitmen linked to the criminal group La Unión Tepito in connection with three homicides that occurred within the past month in the Gustavo A. Madero and Azcapotzalco boroughs. The detainees have been identified as Heili "N", known as La Sicaria, and Donovan "N", who is 17 years old. The arrests were made by the intelligence agents of the Subsecretariat of Intelligence and Police Investigation of the Mexico City Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC CDMX). This development comes amid ongoing violence in other regions of Mexico, including a violent conflict in Sinaloa between rival factions “La Chapiza” and “La Mayiza” that has lasted for 10 months, resulting in deaths and displacement. Additionally, Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, has experienced a surge in violence, with seven homicides reported in a single morning, totaling 19 victims over two days due to armed attacks.
