Russia Plans To Increase Agriculture Exports After Wheat Sales Dropped In July, According To Government 😊🌾
The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) reported quarterly corn stocks for the second quarter of 2025 at 4.644 billion bushels, slightly above estimates of 4.636 billion but down from the previous 8.151 billion. Soybean stocks stood at 1.008 billion bushels, exceeding the estimated 968 million but lower than the previous 1.910 billion. All wheat stocks were reported at 851 million bushels, above the estimated 835 million but below the prior 1.237 billion. For the 2025 planting season, US corn acreage was recorded at 95.203 million acres, slightly below the estimate of 95.5 million but up from 91.475 million the previous year. Soybean planted acreage was 83.38 million acres, marginally under the estimated 83.5 million and down from 86.1 million previously. Cotton planting reached 10.12 million acres, above the estimate of 9.8 million but below last year's 11.67 million. As of mid-June, 3.629 million acres of corn and 11.545 million acres of soybeans remained to be planted. Meanwhile, Russia plans to boost agricultural exports following a drop in wheat sales in July. A US-owned canned food company seized by Russia aims to increase exports to China and North Korea to counter declining sales. In Brazil, the 2025 grain harvest is projected to reach 333.3 million tons, a 13.9% increase over 2024, with the 10th forecast for the 2024/25 season indicating a record 339.65 million tons. China reported a stable summer grain harvest in 2025, with total production nearing 149.74 million tons. Additionally, cooperatives in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, experienced growth in 2024, generating R$93.2 billion in economic activity.
