Costa Neto stated that he released the audit report against his will due to political pressure from deputies within the PL who sought to question the integrity of the election results at the Superior Electoral Court. He emphasized that this action caused considerable damage to the PL. The testimony was given in the context of a trial involving defendants accused of participating in a so-called "nucleus 4" coup plot related to the 2022 election results.
