Reform UK leader Nigel Farage launched a hard-line immigration blueprint on Tuesday, pledging to detain everyone who enters Britain illegally and deport 600,000 people within five years. Speaking at a 10:30 a.m. press conference, Farage said the country faces a “national emergency” and vowed to “stop at nothing to end the small-boat crisis.” Under the plan, all new arrivals would be held at disused Royal Air Force bases or other secure sites and barred permanently from claiming asylum. Farage promised to withdraw the UK from the European Convention on Human Rights, repeal the Human Rights Act and disapply international treaties such as the UN Refugee Convention to prevent court challenges—steps he acknowledged would require renegotiating the Good Friday Agreement. Senior party figure Zia Yusuf told broadcasters that migrants “will not be allowed to roam around inside the community” and confirmed that women, children and unaccompanied minors would also be detained, though he called the handling of children “more complicated.” Prime Minister Keir Starmer dismissed the proposals as “not serious” and said his government will neither leave nor suspend the ECHR, arguing that such a move would align the UK with Russia and Belarus. Starmer’s spokesman added that Labour is instead exploring bilateral return agreements, including with Afghanistan and Eritrea. Housing minister Matthew Pennycook and other critics labelled Reform’s package “back-of-the-fag-packet” and questioned its cost and feasibility, while Conservative figures said Farage was recycling their ideas. The debate comes as official data show nearly 28,000 Channel crossings so far this year and as the government readies the first 100 returns to France under a new treaty. Rights groups warned that tearing up human-rights safeguards would endanger civil liberties, yet opinion polls indicate growing support for Reform’s tougher stance.
Civil war is coming eventually to the UK. If 12 year old girls feel the need to defend themselves from 3rd world invaders, you know there is a problem in the UK. https://t.co/QmWRUcpAVr
I used to be of the opinion we should just ignore whatever happens in Europe as they descend towards death. But the stuff coming out of the YooKay is too outrageous. British citizens including women and even CHILDREN are being arrested for refusing to be raped or murdered. There https://t.co/y8stxclbuz https://t.co/xYfYg8i0RE
Is Nigel Farage right about this? https://t.co/Grh1JiNz4X
