British period crime drama “Grantchester” will conclude with its eleventh season, producers PBS Masterpiece and ITV announced. Filming on the final episodes begins this month, with a U.K. and U.S. premiere targeted for 2026. Adapted from James Runcie’s “Grantchester Mysteries,” the series debuted in 2014 and has run for more than a decade on both networks. Robson Green returns as detective inspector Geordie Keating alongside Rishi Nair’s vicar-turned-sleuth Alphy Kottaram and the established ensemble cast. Series creator and executive producer Daisy Coulam said the finale will continue the show’s themes of friendship, love and community, marking “the end of an extraordinary journey” for a crew that has gathered each summer since the first season. PBS executive producer Susanne Simpson called the long-running partnership “a rare series with a certain magic.”
