Amazon Prime Video will release the third and final season of its hit coming-of-age drama “The Summer I Turned Pretty” on Wednesday, 16 July. The streamer is dropping the first two episodes at midnight Pacific (03:00 Eastern) and will follow with a single instalment every Wednesday through 17 September, bringing the season’s expanded run to 11 episodes. Season 3 concludes Jenny Han’s adaptation of her bestselling YA trilogy, resolving protagonist Belly Conklin’s long-running love triangle with brothers Jeremiah and Conrad Fisher. Lola Tung, Gavin Casalegno and Christopher Briney return alongside Sean Kaufman and Rain Spencer, with Han sharing show-running duties and directing one episode. New regulars include Isabella Briggs and Kristen Connolly. The series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios and wiip. Ahead of the launch, the production issued a public service announcement warning that it will ban users who engage in bullying, hate speech or doxxing, after previous seasons drew intense online factionalism between “Team Jeremiah” and “Team Conrad” supporters. Amazon hopes the guidance will allow the show’s sizeable fan base to debate the finale’s outcome while keeping the conversation civil.
