Netflix said on 9 July that its makeover reality series “Queer Eye” will conclude with its forthcoming 10th season. The streamer announced the decision on social media, adding that production on the farewell instalment has begun in Washington, D.C. The Emmy-winning reboot of Bravo’s 2003 show debuted on Netflix in February 2018 and has become the service’s longest-running unscripted programme. By the end of Season 10 the series will have delivered roughly 90 episodes, winning 11 Emmys from 37 nominations, including a record six consecutive awards for Outstanding Structured Reality Program. All five on-screen advisers—culture expert Karamo Brown, fashion specialist Tan France, food-and-wine authority Antoni Porowski, grooming guru Jonathan Van Ness and interior designer Jeremiah Brent—are set to return for the final run. Brent replaced original design expert Bobby Berk after Season 8. Season 10 will spotlight residents of the U.S. capital while celebrating the show’s broader cultural impact. Scout Productions and ITV Entertainment continue to produce the series, with the Fab Five among its executive producers. Netflix has not yet disclosed a premiere date for the final episodes.
