Apple has introduced AppleCare One, a bundled device-protection plan that costs $19.99 a month and covers any three Apple products. Customers can add further devices for $5.99 each. The service will be available in the United States starting July 24 and can be purchased in Apple Stores, on Apple.com or directly from the Settings menu of an iPhone, iPad or Mac. The subscription includes all existing AppleCare+ benefits—unlimited accidental-damage repairs, battery replacements and 24-hour technical support—and extends theft-and-loss coverage beyond the iPhone to the iPad and Apple Watch. Apple says enrolling three devices could save users about $11 a month compared with maintaining separate AppleCare+ plans. AppleCare One also widens eligibility, allowing most products up to four years old to be added after a diagnostic check, a significant change from the previous 60-day enrollment limit. The move is part of the company’s broader push to expand its high-margin services business, which generated $96.1 billion in revenue last year.
