OnePlus expanded its mid-tier line-up on 8 July with the simultaneous launch of five devices—the Nord 5 and Nord CE 5 smartphones, a 43 mm variant of the Watch 3 smartwatch, Buds 4 true-wireless earbuds and the Pad Lite tablet—during a livestreamed event ahead of the key Indian and European holiday season. The headline product, the Nord 5, is priced at €449 in Europe and starts at ₹31,999 in India. It runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, features a 6.83-inch 144 Hz AMOLED display, a 50 MP Sony LYT-600 main camera paired with a 50 MP selfie module, and a 6,800 mAh battery that fills to 80 % in under half an hour via 80 W SuperVOOC. An IP65 rating and a programmable “Plus Key” that triggers on-device AI tools aim to position the handset just below the company’s premium flagships. Targeting cost-conscious buyers, the Nord CE 5 comes in at €349—or ₹24,999 for the base version in India—by switching to MediaTek’s Dimensity 8350 Apex chip, a slightly smaller 6.77-inch 120 Hz panel and an even larger 7,100 mAh battery. Both phones ship with Android 15-based OxygenOS 15 and a four-year update pledge, with Indian sales opening on 9 July for the Nord 5 and 12 July for the Nord CE 5. Rounding out the portfolio, OnePlus introduced a downsized €299/US$299 Watch 3 that retains Wear OS, dual-processor architecture and an estimated 60-hour charge despite a reduced 43 mm case. The Buds 4 earbuds add spatial and Hi-Res audio at €119/US$129, while the €229 Pad Lite offers an 11-inch 2K display and a 9,340 mAh battery. Only the smartwatch and earbuds are slated for the US market; the phones and tablet remain India- and Europe-focused.
