Selena Gomez spent the weekend of Aug. 24–25 in Cabo San Lucas celebrating her bachelorette party with a small group of long-time friends, according to Us Weekly. The singer-actor was seen aboard a yacht and at private dinners organised in a rented villa, where customised décor featured photos of her fiancé, music producer Benny Blanco. Gomez became engaged to Blanco in December 2024 after 18 months of dating, and friends said the getaway was intended to be “a fun but chill weekend” before the couple finalises wedding plans. The trip coincided with news that Taylor Swift, 35, accepted an engagement proposal from Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Gomez publicly congratulated Swift on Instagram, writing “When bestie gets engaged,” and shared a meme highlighting the duo’s 16-year friendship. Swift commented on Gomez’s engagement last December by offering to serve as a flower girl. Neither Gomez nor Swift has announced a wedding date. Blanco recently told the “Therapuss With Jake Shane” podcast that the ceremony he and Gomez envision will be “chill and amazing,” while Kelce and Swift have not disclosed details of their plans.
