China reiterated that dialogue and negotiation remain the only viable exit from the Ukraine conflict, urging all stakeholders to engage in talks aimed at reaching a fair, durable agreement acceptable to every party, according to Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning. Beijing’s comments came a day after U.S. President Donald Trump hosted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy and European leaders at the White House to discuss ways to end the war. Mao said China “stands ready to work with the international community” to play a constructive role in any political settlement and welcomed efforts that contribute to peace. While stressing that Beijing is neither a party to the conflict nor its creator, she underscored China’s “objective and impartial stance” and its intention to continue facilitating negotiations through shuttle diplomacy and other channels.
