Jovi, the world's fourth-largest smartphone manufacturer and the leading Chinese mobile phone brand, has launched its products in Brazil with national production. The company introduced 5G smartphones starting at R$3,199, featuring cameras equipped with Swiss Zeiss lenses and offering a warranty against battery degradation. Jovi aims to compete aggressively in the Brazilian market, which is seeing increased competition among smartphone brands. Meanwhile, Apple is experiencing a slight uptick in iPhone sales in China as of April 2025; however, industry analysts from IDC report that Apple faces another year of shipment declines in China due to intensified competition from domestic brands like Huawei and a broader economic slowdown, compounded by export controls. Other Chinese brands such as Vivo are also preparing new smartphone launches, including the Vivo X200 FE and X Fold5 models, with advanced camera technologies and fast charging capabilities. Additionally, Honor plans to release the Magic V5 with a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and a 200MP camera in June.
