The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is set to hold its Tianjin Summit from August 31 to September 1, 2025, in Tianjin, China. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi announced that leaders from more than 20 countries and heads of 10 international organizations will attend the summit and related events. Ahead of the summit, the "Global Mayors Dialogue · SCO Summit Cities" event took place in Tianjin from July 6 to 9, gathering mayors from SCO summit cities, foreign diplomats, and think tank experts to discuss deepening practical cooperation among member countries. The event emphasized openness, inclusiveness, and integrated urban development. Participants praised Tianjin as a modern, green, and eco-friendly city. The SCO Media and Think Tank Summit was also held recently in Zhengzhou, showcasing China's rich cultural heritage and the diversity of SCO member states through various cultural presentations and performances.
