On July 15, 2025, Chinese President Xi Jinping met in Beijing with foreign ministers and heads of standing bodies of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) who were attending the Meeting of the Council of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of SCO Member States. Wang outlined five key priorities for the SCO: upholding the "Shanghai Spirit" as the organization's fundamental and spiritual pillar, strengthening security mechanisms to address threats including the "three forces," jointly creating development opportunities, enhancing good-neighborly relations, and maintaining fairness and justice.
