Samsung Electronics said it will release the Galaxy S25 Fan Edition as early as August, moving the mid-priced handset forward by roughly a month compared with last year’s model. Daniel Araujo, vice-president of the company’s Mobile Experience division, disclosed the new timetable during the Korean manufacturer’s second-quarter earnings call. Management credited the flagship Galaxy S25 line with being a “major profit generator” in the April–June period and said the advanced launch of the Fan Edition is designed to maintain sales momentum through the third quarter. The device traditionally offers many of the premium features of Samsung’s top smartphones at a lower price point. Bringing the S25 FE to market earlier also clears space for a packed product calendar in the second half of 2025. Samsung expects to unveil its first tri-fold smartphone, the Project Moohan extended-reality headset developed with Google and Qualcomm, new budget Galaxy A models and the Galaxy Tab S11 tablets before year-end. Looking further ahead, industry leaks point to a significant overhaul of the 2026 flagship line-up. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is said to adopt 60-watt wired charging, a slimmer sub-7 mm frame and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 or Samsung’s own Exynos 2600, which would be the first smartphone chip built on a 2-nanometre process. Samsung has not confirmed any details of the S26 family.
