Starbucks will roll out its 2025 fall menu on 26 August across the United States and Canada, bringing back the Pumpkin Spice Latte without a price increase. The Seattle-based chain confirmed the date on Monday, marking the second straight year the autumn lineup arrives in August instead of closer to the autumn equinox. The seasonal roster features several customer favourites—Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai and the Pecan Crunch Oatmilk Latte—alongside a new Pecan Oatmilk Cortado. Food additions include an Italian Sausage Egg Bite, while at-home products such as Pumpkin Spice coffee pods and a Maple Pecan nondairy creamer have already reached grocery shelves. First introduced in 2003, the PSL has become Starbucks’ best-selling seasonal beverage, with hundreds of millions sold. The earlier launch is aimed at reviving traffic after U.S. comparable sales fell 2 percent in the quarter ended 29 June; last year foot traffic jumped 24 percent on the day the drink returned, according to Placer.ai. Starbucks reported $36.2 billion in net revenue for fiscal 2024. Rivals are also chasing autumn demand. Dunkin’ released its pumpkin lineup last week, McDonald’s continues to market its own pumpkin latte, and Sonic is promoting caramel-flavoured coffee and pastries starting 1 September in a tongue-in-cheek campaign to give pumpkins “a break.”
