India's vice-captain Rishabh Pant made history during the first Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy Test at Headingley by becoming the first Indian wicketkeeper to score centuries in both innings of a Test match. On day four, Pant reached his eighth Test century off 130 balls and went on to score 134 and 118 runs in the two innings. This achievement also makes him the second wicketkeeper globally to score twin centuries in a Test match and the fifth Indian to score centuries in both innings of an overseas Test. Pant's performance marked a rare feat not achieved by any Indian player in the 145-year history of Test cricket against England.
Rishabh Pant, 27, has now recorded five 50-plus scores in the ongoing Test series against England in 2025, setting a new record for the most 50+ scores by an Indian wicketkeeper in a single Test series. #INDvsENG #TestCricket #CricketNews | @anishkmr044 https://t.co/y2l7Hi1VKa
