Philadelphia police have released surveillance images and appealed for the public’s help in identifying two men suspected of carrying out three violent robberies in and around parking lots in the city’s Chinatown section last month. Investigators say the spree began at about 9:30 p.m. on 14 June, when a 62-year-old man was attacked on the 900 block of Cherry Street after paying for parking. Roughly an hour later, a 27-year-old man was tackled from behind on the 800 block of Arch Street; his wallet and AirPods were taken. The same pair is believed to have struck again at 9:30 p.m. on 16 June, confronting a 16-year-old boy on the 100 block of North 9th Street. When the teenager resisted surrendering his phone, the assailants punched and kicked him, fleeing with $5 that fell from his pocket. Police describe both suspects as men wearing dark clothing and masks during the incidents. Anyone with information is urged to call or text the department’s tip line at 215-686-TIPS (8477) or submit an anonymous tip online.
