The Minnesota State Fair unveiled 33 new food items and eight first-time vendors for the 2025 Great Minnesota Get-Together, expanding the event’s menu to roughly 1,600 offerings. Additions range from dill-pickle iced tea and chicken-fried bacon fries to international dishes such as Somali Street Fries and Filipino-inspired lumpia. The new vendors—among them Beans & Beignets, Greater Tater and Urban Glow Mocktails—will be spread across the fairgrounds when the fair opens in Falcon Heights on Aug. 21. The announcement follows a similar reveal by the Iowa State Fair, which confirmed it will introduce new foods for its 2025 edition in Des Moines, though a full list has not yet been published. Both Midwestern fairs use the annual food rollouts to generate early buzz ahead of their late-summer runs, when they rank among the most-attended state fairs in the United States.
