President Donald Trump said on Friday that he intends to release what he called a “list” of prominent individuals who were closely associated with the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Speaking to reporters before departing Washington, Trump urged the media to "focus on Clinton"—a reference to former President Bill Clinton—and on former Harvard president Larry Summers, asserting that several unnamed hedge-fund executives “practically lived with Epstein.” Fox News subsequently reported that the White House plans to make the names public, a move that would undermine the Justice Department’s statement two weeks ago that no Epstein “client list” exists. The announcement also follows renewed scrutiny of Trump’s own past encounters with Epstein, which the former president has downplayed. Traders on the Kalshi prediction market reacted by assigning a 56% probability that some portion of the Epstein files will surface this year. Market odds put Bill Clinton and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates at 42% each of appearing on the list, with Prince Andrew at roughly 40% and former President Barack Obama below 20%.
