Soraya Riffy, a Marseille-based influencer with over one million Instagram followers, was violently attacked during a home invasion on the evening of July 4, 2025. Three armed individuals forcibly entered her apartment, where they bound her, physically assaulted her, and sprayed her with bleach. The attackers threatened her life and demanded money. Riffy was reportedly beaten for several hours and has filed a complaint alleging robbery with violence and rape. Her lawyer described the assault as barbaric and called for the perpetrators to be apprehended and prosecuted. The Marseille judicial police have opened an investigation into the incident. Riffy, who is also known as a nurse, model, and former television figure, has expressed intentions to leave Marseille and withdraw from social media following the attack.
