Olympique de Marseille said Tuesday it has placed Adrien Rabiot and Jonathan Rowe on the transfer list, ending the pair’s involvement with the first team less than a year after their arrival. The club cited “inadmissible behaviour in the dressing-room” following Friday’s 1–0 defeat at Stade Rennais and confirmed the decision was reached jointly by the coaching staff and senior management. According to people briefed on the situation, the 30-year-old France midfielder and the 22-year-old English winger came to blows after the match, prompting head coach Roberto De Zerbi to recommend their removal. Both players were stood down from training on Monday and did not rejoin the squad on Tuesday. OM is seeking about €15 million for Rabiot and €20 million for Rowe in the final days of the summer window and has ruled them out of Saturday’s home league fixture against promoted Paris FC. Rabiot’s mother and agent, Véronique Rabiot, told French media the player was surprised by the move and disputes any suggestion of insufficient commitment. Rabiot, signed as a free agent from Juventus last September, made 32 appearances and scored 10 goals in his debut season at the Vélodrome, while Rowe joined from Norwich City in January. Their abrupt exit plan deprives Marseille of two regular starters as the club prepares for a return to the UEFA Champions League next month.
